young nurses
make a Great Wall
with their bodies

*

spring redbuds
we watch the epidemic
bloom on t.v.

*

a quarantine
the neighbor so quiet
you can hear spring

*

spring eggs
laid against anthropocentrism
once again

*

the optimism
of my yard’s sparrows
the real news
*

I love ghostly love–
the way I say “my”
in “my sparrows”

*

city locked down
with epidemic…
the crows louder

*

isolation ward–
a patient asks
to see the moon

*

the virus
silence spreads
room to room

*
