When the Airbus stalled at that altitude, the pilots knew it was hopeless.

327 doomed people were plummeting to earth.

It was actually the first officer who pushed it, the “secret” button.
A.T. A gift of alien tech.

And, just like that, the jet was back on the tarmac, awaiting clearance
to taxi down the runway. None of it had ever happened. Not even the pilot who had pushed the button remembered doing it.

The usual fee of one missing passenger was applied.
